Pain and discomfort 5 weeks after getting 11 veneers on my upper teeth. Normal? (photos)

Nice Photos.From the appearance of your teeth in the after photos, you did NOT make a huge mistake. The veneers look very nice.Most of your bite has been altered with the 11 veneers, so it is a matter of adjusting the bite until you are comfortable. There could also be some bonding resin left at the gums, so have your teeth cleaned.Be patient, the discomfort will subside. 

Hi, the sensitivity you're experiencing may be caused by many different factors  such as improper bite, cement stuck under the gums, nerve inflammation, etc. See your dentist asap and hopefully your sensitivity issues will be resolved.

You have several factors that may be happening simultaneously.Due to a total change in your bite you are experiencing uncooperative bruxism or in simpler words gritting your teeth, this can happen when a filling is not well adapted, imagine in a change in whole mouth. Solution to this a fit in the bite to see significant without a doubt.
Discomfort in gums often present these symptoms, may have migrated part of the cement inside the gums causing: inflammation and pain. The solution to this would be to clean those remains of cement inside the gum and as other colleagues have already suggested anti-inflammatory.

Hi:Sorry to hear about the sensitivity.  I would suggest to have your bite checked again.  There can be a consistent pain and sensitivity due to improper bite and clenching pressure.  Best,Dr. Maddahi

It is difficult to give you an informed response without more diagnostic information. It is not typical to continue to have discomfort for 5 weeks after dental work but it is possible. Antibiotics are not usually the answer, I suggest taking a good antiinflammatory. From your before picture you don't appear to have a grinding problem so it is not likely you just develpoed one. Return to your dentist and ask about what other options you have for decreasing the sensitivity.
