Salaam Waseem,I wold recommend getting them done properly this time.  When done properly, they can last 20-30 years before needing to have them redone.  They should be porcelain and try to go to a cosmetic dental office.  You may pay a little more, but your results will be a lot better and save you money in the short and long term.  Redoing veneers should not cost you more tooth structure, if the dentist is very experienced in the use of veneers.  Hope this helps.Dr. Sarah ThompsonSaint Louis, MO  and OFallon, IL

Normally there are three main reasons why you would have to change your veneers:
1.  Gum recession where the root of your tooth is exposed.
2.  Chipping or breakage of a veneers,
3.  Decay at the margin of the veneers.

More diagnostic information is necessary to give an answer specific to your case. In general, when veneers are removed it can be done with minimal additional tooth structure removal. At 22 you need to plan on replacing these veneers several times during your lifetime. Normally a veneer can be replaced with another veneer, not a crown. Tooth loss is also not a usual outcome when veneers are replaced.
