What is the difference between Restylane Skinboosters and Restylane filler? (Photo)

I understand they are both HA injectables, thus act in the same way. But I'm not understanding what the difference between the "filler" and the "skinbooster". When is one used versus the other?

Restylane Vital and Vital Light fillers are considered skinboosters and are injected under the skin for hydration and skin rejuvenation.  The Restylane line of fillers available in the US like Restylane L, Lyft, Defyne, Refyne and Silk are volume fillers meant to add volume and plumpness.  They all have a purpose and it depends on where they are injected.  My video below talks about a layering technique that uses a few of these products.Best from Boston, Dr. Onir

So most HA fillers are cross linked HA. The thinner fillers like skin booster fillers are less cross linked, therefore less thick and less lumpy in superficial applications, i.e. the skin. Otherwise as far as I know they are the same. They will not work in the others indicated role though if that is part of your question,.Hope that helps.Adam Goodwin
