If receiving a successful bone marrow transplant to establish chimerism causes the body not to reject the transplanted hair from the donor, then why is this not done today? I am a female with normal hair but I have always wanted thicker hair. Who would be able to do this procedure for me? The donor hair can be taken from a cadaver. First, the patient can receive a bone marrow transplant to establish chimerism and then receive a FUE hair transplant with the donor hair grafts.
