Cartilage poking out at the tip after rhinoplasty revision - is this urgent to fix? (Photos)

Question

I had my first rhinoplasty almost two years ago. I needed a revision because the tip went a bit downwards and I wanted it more defined and upturned. I got a second procedure and now I think my nose looks very pointy at the very tip. I'm happy with almost everything except for that. It worries me that it can get worse in the future. Is this urgent to fix and are there other options besides a third procedure?

Based on your photos, the point of cartilage involving your nasal tip is called a "Bossa". If it's a trimmed piece of tip cartilage, it may get worse as your swelling continues to resolve. We have had excellent success camouflaging nasal bossae with Silikon-1000, a permanent filler. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph

I would suggest waiting about a year prior to intervention in your operated nose as the tip skin will continue to settle and the small imperfection will likely become slightly more prominent.  At that time a quick in office shave of the tip cartilage will remedy this issue and you can enjoy your nose fully!
