Thanks for submitting your question and photos. You would benefit from liposuction to remove and debulk the fat from those areas. You might have some skin laxity as well in that area which could be removed with a skin excision. Compression and lymphatic massage postop will help as well. Good luck!
Thank you for your inquiry! Liposuction will cause sagging of the skin. There are other options to consider. We would love to sit down with you to discuss your concerns. Schedule a consultation with a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon to discuss your options.
hello,Based on your photos, you would benefit from an Extended Outer Thigh Lift. It may be necessary to also perform the Posterior Body Lift, if you have excess skin around your backside. The other option might be a full Body Lift , which would address the abdomen area if you have loose skin there. I have performed scores of these procedures. You may also benefit from some amount of Liposuction , but it appears that your main issue is excess skin.Good luck with your search!Ricardo L Rodriguez MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonBaltimore, Maryland
Dear SM123sm,Thank you for asking your question and uploading photos. Based on the photos attached, the saddlebags could be improved with liposuction and a skin removal procedure would also likely be required due to the excess skin. I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon for a consultation to obtain more information and recommendations.
You will need several procedures to do this. I would begin with liposuction. I can remove up to 10 lbs during one session. You may need 2 sessions after this and then will need at thigh lift because of the hanging skin.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Dear sm123, I recommend seeing a board-certified plastic surgeon and see if that area is a good candidate for liposuction to begin with. I use Vaser liposuction which also helps the skin contract after removing most of the fat content. You may ultimately require some skin removal. Best of luck to you!!
In person exam is essential. Based on limited photos - it appears that you may benefit from both liposuction+direct excision/lift to improve the areas of concern. We often perform these procedures in our Practice. I suggest that you seek an experienced Board Certified PS and review your options
From the photo, it appears you're referring to bilateral localized excess skin and fat over the greater trochanters and upper outer thighs. Best choices for resolution are surgical dermolipectomy and/or liposuction. If very well done, dermolipectomy preferred because both excess fat AND loose skin removed. Liposuction will flatten the bulges, but excess loose wrinkled skin will remain and perhaps be a disappointing aesthetic problem.Consult with Board Certified Plastic Surgeon recommended.
Saddlebags (fat deposits on the outer thighs and hips) are common and often resistant to diet/exercise alone. The ‘best’ treatment depends on your skin quality, fat volume and aesthetic goal. Here’s a breakdown:- Liposuction remains the gold standard for removing stubborn fat in that area when skin tone is good.- Laser or ultrasound-assisted liposuction can help if minor laxity exists.- For moderate/advanced skin sagging a thigh lift or outer-thigh lift may be needed for best contour.- CoolSculpting or non-invasive devices have limited effect for dense fat in that region. We’ll assess your anatomy together, map the fat pockets and design a plan that safely tackles saddlebags without sacrificing thigh contour or creating irregularities.
Quite a challenge. Without feeling the bones underneath, a combination of liposuction and lateral thigh lift would be the best option.
Dear Neat594389,I understand your concern. It is best however that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine whether you can have several aesthetic surgeries in one session, as this would depend on various factors including but not limited to your general health condition,...
Hi, In case you have small amount of excess of skin and fat in the subgluteal area (banana rolls), liposuction can help decrease this rolls, in some cases skin tightening devices combined in the same liposuction can help you improve that area. Cellulite can be difficult to treat. In my opinion...

I would suggest using EMSculpt on your buttocks to tone and build muscle which will fill out the loose skin safely and with no surgery. For your arm, once you are healed at 6 months, you might need a little fat added or Sculptra injections to help minimize the dent. Please discuss this with your...
Weight gain from fluid used and swelling is seen right away with liposuction and can last up to 6 months. The majority of excess fluid occurs in the first month.
Liposuction around scar tissue can be challenging, as the procedure may disrupt the scar and affect healing. It’s important to consult with an experienced and skilled surgeon who can assess your specific situation and provide guidance based on your medical history and the nature of the scar.
