The implants stretch the muscles which can cause tenderness and pain in the sternal region between the breasts. This is a normal symptom to have after surgery and typically goes away in a few weeks if not sooner. If you continue to have discomfort beyond a few weeks anti-inflammatory medication can help. Over time this should resolve completely.
Temporary burning pain is usually normal and temporary. Pain medicine, and later, anti-inflammatory medicines can take the edge off in the short term. Discuss with your PS. You need to follow up to be sure.
