I am 6 weeks post-op after a tummy tuck and am wondering if my belly button has necrosis. My doctor keeps saying it is not and am wondering if he's just ignoring me. I want him to fix this before it gets worse. Can someone see if there is necrosis going on? Thanks in advance.

It is hard to make out in the pictures but from what I can see there does not appear to be necrosis of the belly button. I am not sure what the third picture is trying to show. The good news is that the belly button is a scar from birth. Even a little or a large amount of necrosis usually ends up okay in the long run. Tell your doctor your concerns and that you feel that you aren't communicating. It is important to have a good dialogue with your surgeon.
