I got Biostimulator injected 7 months ago with the intent of helping my sagging jowels. However, immediately after I noticed my jaw line fuller. She said this would go away with time but over time my jaws have gotten more square. How can I fix this? I hate how I look and want it to dissolve already. I posted a pic of before, immediately after and then now :(
Answer: Reversing biostimulator Hello, thank you for asking this question. There are different bio stimulators that are available and in the United States, the two most common ones are Sculptra and Bellafill. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, the fullness from bio stimulators is from formation of your own collagen so it will not respond to hyaluronidase. If it was Sculptra that was used, the best advice is to just let it go away on it's own. If you had 3 rounds, it may take two years to go away. If you only had one, it will go away sooner. Bellafill is more permanent and you may need to have it dissolved. Common agents used to reduce the collagen produced by bio stimulators are steroids or 5FU. This is off label use of these produces and there is risk of causing atrophy. If you decide to have the fullness reduced, be sure to go to someone who has experience doing it.

If it was Radiesse, the hyluronic acid portion can be dissolved with Hylanex or Vitrase. I suggest discussing further with your injector and posting with additional details (like how much product was injected) for the best answer.

Before expressing any displeasure, I would recommend that you look at the photographs of yourself at a much younger age, and try to determine as to what has changed.
