Numbness after filler: please help!

Question

I had Perlane in some acne scars of the cheek and one large hollow created by a badly done subcision in '14. Day 1. normal tightness and some pain. I touched my cheek LIGHTLY and felt a throb Day 2. Some tightness Day 3. Almost completely fine, but when I touched again VERY lightly the numbness began Now (Day 4): still got the numbness and buzzing Doc thinks it is a bruise but I'm certain it's a nerve issue. Does this resolve? I want to get it dissolved but terrified of causing further problems.

Based on your description I believe most would say just wait this out. If a nerve was irritated in the process of filler placement, it can certainly result in some temporary paresthesia which should resolve over time. I don't expect that dissolving the filler would do anything for this symptom. Certainly if it gets progressively worse this is unexpected and you should seek medical attention. Most paresthesias due to minor trauma of nerve resolve over the course of 3 to 6 weeks.

This is probably neuropraxia, it should resolve in the next few weeks. Unless this is pressure on your nerve due to the filler (vvv unlikely), I would not dissolve this.
