About FUE hair transplant. Should I be able to ride a bike 10 days after surgery?

In genearal, you can resume light exercise such as bicycling a week after surgery.  Some doctors may say wait 3 weeks.  This is up to YOUR DOCTOR's discretion.  Ask your doctor.

In general I advice my patients not to wear tight silicon caps or heavy helmets for three weeks and for physical exercise 2 weeks is the common timing.After 10 days it is possible to wear a light cap and light exercise might be possible.

Dear Hardik5006,I would ask your surgeon, but in our center we allow our patients to wear hats/caps 1 week after surgery. Vigorous physical activity should be avoided for at least 1-2 weeks to decrease the chance of swelling, graft injury or "popping of grafts" from increased blood pressure. Our patients are allowed a hair cut 7-10 days after the procedure. Hope that helps.

You should be ok on the bike at this point but always double check with your doctor. It is good to follow the instructions in detail. 

You said that you were more than a week after a hair transplant. Do whatever you want, ride a bike, run a marathon, work out (but if you had a strip limit your weight lifting to 50 pounds). A hair transplant that is healed, only needs to restrict you from doing Scuba Diving for 5-6 weeks, othewise anything goes

Your hair transplant specialist  should give you instructions for exercising and post op care after the procedure. However, usually we would wait for about two for exercise and three weeks for weight lifting. 

Hi there, Great question - you can definitely ride your bike after 10 days as long as you are wearing a cap to protect the new follicles that were implanted. Please keep in mind, that we do always recommend that you consult with the doctor that did your procedure before making a decision. Good luck during your recovery!
