I had Restylane injection in my nose 3 years ago, but it is still not dissolved. I wouldn't say its not dissolved completely but my nose is still more prominent than before. and I can feel a little bit of Restylane when I touch it. Is it normal to not dissolve after 3 years? Is there other ways to remove it without using the enzyme? Thank you?
Answer: Restylane does not dissolve after 3 years. Is this normal? Restylane, like other hyaluronic acid-based dermal fillers, is designed to be long-lasting but not permanent. While its effects can typically last for several months to a year or more, individual experiences may vary. Factors such as metabolism, product placement, and lifestyle can influence the longevity of the filler. If you have concerns about the persistence of Restylane after three years, it’s advisable to consult with a healthcare professional who administered the filler for guidance.

Answer: Persistent filler Hello pmds,Restylane will last at most 12 to 18 months. This means one of two things if you still feel something. The first is that something other than Restylane was injected. There are some permanent fillers that may have been injected. This is rarely done because of the problem with having something there forever (and something I don't recommend). The other is that you developed a reaction leading to some scar tissue developing in that area. This can be difficult to treat but there are some options. In either way you should be seen by a medical professional to provide a complete analysis. I hope this helps and good luck.
