Question

Hello I had porex cheek implant removal 11 days ago,right after surgery I felt sth like hard lump under left cheek ,but I thought it's swelling ,now mostly swelling gone but this bump is more visible and hard,with no pain,it's just look so bad!and unbalanced !and bothering me ! I don't know what should I do ?does steriod injection helps or do I need second surgery ? I'm so nerves !i have to go back to work but with this bump I can't !!!! :(((((

Do not panic!   After removing an implant the most common issues are bleeding and infection.  Since the area looked like this soon after surgery, the most likely culprit is a "hematoma", i.e. oozing blood that filled the space and clotted.  I recommend you contact the surgeon and be evaluated to have the hematoma/blood drained from inside the mouth.  If you leave it alone, it will take a really long time to go away and may leave a deformity. The faster you get it drained, the faster it will go away.
