I'm considering revision. I'm unhappy with my upper pole fullness and cleavage. I currently have 325cc hp implants. I thought 475 moderate plus. Because it's near enough the same projection but got a bigger diameter by 2cm suggestions please?? Also I'm going to see if i can have my right infamatoty fold lowered to match my left to improve symmetry. Thanks in advance. Ps usually how much does a surgeon charge for revision surgery if a patients unhappy?
Answer: You may be asking for trouble.... your result looks nice in the photo provided. adding volume to your implants will likely not give you the upper pole fullness that you desire. In fact, one could argue that you do not need more upper pole fullness.

Answer: How much bigger is 150 cc's? You have a nice result thus far. Changing to a medium profile implant about 150 cc's bigger will give you more cleavage and superior pole fullness while maintaining projection as you mentioned. It will increase your cup size by almost a full cup, maybe a bit less. I suspect you had some pre-operative minor asymmetry between your inframammary creases which is why they are slightly different now. You can either lower your right crease a bit or raise your left crease at the time of your revision surgery. I hope this information helps. Good luck!Thomas Taylor, MDPasadena, CA

Answer: Thinking about changing to larger implants. What will I look like? Hi and thanks for your question. The best way to get an idea of what you might look like is to find a practice like ours that uses the Vectra 3D imaging system. We can show you what an extra 100, 150, 200cc's looks like on you. The other thing to consider is to talk with your surgeon about raising the left fold instead of lowering the right fold. Good luck.Dr West

Answer: Breast Implant Revision, Anatomic Cohesive Gel Implants, Under the muscle, Breast Augmentation Revision I appreciate your question. It depends on your chest wall measurements and existing breast tissue as implant size does not accurately correlate to a bra size. It also depends on the brand and style of bra you wear as size varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. From your photos, it appears you have some asymmetry that should be addressed at the time of a revision. The best way to assess, give true advice and discuss your goals and expectations for revision surgery would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery. Best of luck! Dr. Schwartz

Answer: How much bigger will I be by increasing my implants 150 cc? Thank you for the question and picture. You will find that online consultants will not be able to provide you with specific advice in regards to selection of specific breast implant size/profile. Keep in mind, as you think about your goals, that adjustment of the breast implant capsules will also be necessary. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, and computer imaging) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering revisionary breast augmentation surgery (regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is: 1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "D or DD cup” or "upper pile fulness" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery ( after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers). Viewing the patient's chest wall in the upright and supine positions, with temporary sizes in place, help select the best breast implant size/profile for the specific patient. I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to revsionary breast augmentation surgery concerns), helps. Best wishes.
