When having Smart Lipo on inner and outer thighs, are the front and back of legs also done or is that an additional fee?

Never assume that areas that weren't discussed at your consultation are going to be included in your surgery and that they are going to be done at no additional cost. There is no standard pricing policy from one lipo surgeon's office to another. Just ask your surgeon if there's an extra fee and if the additional areas can be done and where he/she likes to place scars.

Hi Maggie,The answer is that you will have to ask your surgeon who is performing your procedure.  Every office will charge a different price based on volume, complexity of procedure as well as skill and demand for the provider.  Having said that, my office policy is to show the patient a diagram of what I consider as part of a certain area and what is considered a different area.  This helps avoid confusion for the patient and allows everyone to be on the same page regarding treatment and expectations.  All surgeons will used different access points to maximize fat removal, so it is best to ask the surgeon who will be performing your procedure, they should be fairly well hidden!Hope this helps

the vast, vast majority of patients that i do, will just do the medial (inner) and lateral (outer) thighs. occasionally, i will do the banana roll too. Be careful doing the front of the thighs since that will make your cellulite worse if you have a problem there. Also, i would definitely not do the thighs circumferentially at one time since i think the healing and swelling etc are much better if you break it into two sessions, several weeks or months apart.david berman md
