I haven't been wearing my Invisalign for 2+ years; could I finish my treatment or is it too late?

I've been bad with wearing my Invisalign and I completely stopped wearing them for years. I put the last tray I have received and it fits decently. Can I go back to my Ortho to finish my treatment or is it too late?

Yes, you must visit your orthodontist so that he or she will examine the condition of your teeth and start the treatment accordingly.

It is never too late!Your aligners may not fit, so go see your orthodontist and see what they can do for you.You may be back to the beginning- starting over. If you really want to finish your treatment,the end result will certainly justify the extra time and expense.

More than likely your aligners will not fit since you have not been wearing anything at all since you stopped using them.  Depending on when you started you case may have been closed by invisalign.  Call and let your dentist know the situation and see what they are able to do

Chances are that the aligners you have are not going to work. Your orthodontist will need to take new impressions, as if you are starting over. Expect an additional fee, possible even the full fee.
