Buttons for my Invisalign treatment: my entire teeth is covered with yellowish glue. Is this normal? (photo)

My last appointment with my orthodontis was on march, she put on buttons and gave me many sets of invasline. My new appointment was today, she said many buttons were lost, need to be reattached. But this time was different, she covered my whole teeth with adhesive!!! I found out when I got home. Is this normal? Will it hurt my teeth, and how do I get rid of this yellowish, I can't even smile, it's bothering me.
