Is Wirelign something you could use to straighten patient's front teeth?

Wirelign is not a practical system. It does not work on every case and patients can get cavities and other problems if they don't brush and flus properly. You don't have control of the side teeth and there are other ways you can straighten those front teeth , like invisalign much easier with control

Hi, Funtodream2! Thanks for your question. I'm glad you're having a great experience with Dr. Cassalia. The technique Dr. Cassalia is using has been known to orthodontists for some time, actually. Dr. Cassalia has done a wonderful job branding it and making patients and doctors aware of it. I believe the technique was pioneered by Larry White in Dallas as his book "Orthodontic Pearls" shares this exact technique and has been in publication for some time. The reason it's not used more is there is limited control of the teeth with this technique and it has limited ability to correct more moderate or severe problems. Basically, when an orthodontist sets out to correct a problem they want to use the tool that will most likely achieve success. I do agree that it is a wonderful option for mild crowding cases which should be used more frequently.Cheers!

Wirelign is a very new system. They barely have a website. The concept of putting braces on the backs of teeth has been around for many years in different forms. Not all patients can tolerate having something on the backs of their teeth. i'm sure that if the concept works well that other providers will adapt the system.
