Fat retention longterm?

Question

Hello, I had my fat to breast transfer last summer with a highly skilled surgeon in the US. Received 500 ccs per breast (started with small As after weight loss). Things were ok in the first 3 months but I have gradually lost almost 75% of the FT despite not losing weight nor heavily exercising. As I'm over 50 and don't fancy the idea of implants I was hoping for feedback: Based on YOUR experience and long term results - will I lose the fat again or might I retain better? Thank you

What you have experienced is the very nature of fat transfer. Many times must if the fat goes away. I also think 500 cc per breast was too much at one time for that much fat to be retained.

fat transfer breast augmentation is a viable alternative for women who desire larger breasts without the use of implants. Fat transfer is also widely used in reconstruction of the breast after a mastectomy or lumpectomy. Yes! Fat grafting is always limited to how much breast tissue you already have. If you try to transfer too much fat all at once to a small area, you can lose a large amount of fat.  If you build the amount of breast tissue you have with fat transfer, there is more space to place fat during a subsequent fat transfer. For this reason fat transfer works really well when done more than once because you can 'build up' an area.

The older we are, the less transferred fat is retained. Even in the best hands, not all fat remains that is transferred. You probably would retain more with a smaller volume added.

It’s officially talented provider. Should be able to make an accurate assessment and deliver predictable outcomes based on their experience and having a clear understanding of your candidacy for the procedure. And in person consultation should include haven’t clear communications leaving you well educated about what the procedure can, and cannot accomplish, including showing you numerous before and after pictures of previous patient so you have a clear understanding about the procedure can deliver.
 Efficiently experience provider, Liposuction and fat transfer result should be predictable, and there should be no guessing game in regards to what your results will look like long-term.
Delivering consistent quality, Liposuction, and fat transfer result is more difficult than most people realize. Still those who’ve master the procedure should be able to accurately predict who is going to get quality outcomes, having a clear understanding of what the procedure can, and cannot accomplish.
Breast fat transfer is not a good procedure to change the shape of the breast. It can increase breast size by 1/2 cup and rarely do people get one cup, but that can’t happen in certain instances when patients candidacy is ideal. 
The procedure does not increase volume in the upper half of the breast. It is not a good operation to change the shape of the breast, and is not particularly good for patients of lost weight.
It’s important to recognize what the underlying problem or ideology is an applied treatments that treat the problem. Pseudo-ptosis or breast. Ptosis is not best Treated with fat transfer and fat transfer will not give great results because of it.
Without including pictures, we can make an assessment on the outcome of your procedure.
To get an accurate assessment and find the right provider I suggest patients have multiple in person consultations. The number of plastic surgeons who truly mastered both Liposuction and fat transfer is in a small minority. These procedures are more difficult to do than most people recognize.
Because there’s substantial variation in skillet experience for both Liposuction and fat transfer I suggest patient start the process by having at least five in person consultations.
During each consultation, ask each provider to open up your portfolio and show you their entire collection of before, and after pictures of patients who have a similar body characteristics to your own.
And experience plastic surgeon should have no difficulty showing you the before and after pictures of at least 50 previous patients.
For fat transfer results it’s imperative that patients know exactly the timeframe of when after pictures were taken. Never assume the providers are showing you make sure final outcome when reviewing before and after pictures. Always ask the exact timeframe of when after pictures were taken in relationship to the daytime surgery. After pictures should never be taken last than 3 to 6 months after the procedure.
Based on what you described, you may not be an ideal candidate for breast, fat transfer, or perhaps your understanding of what the procedure can, and cannot accomplish or not line up with reality.
Implant augmentation is the ideal procedure to create fullness in the upper half of the breast. Fat transfer does not do this particularly well, regardless of who does the procedure.
