Not happy with result after 1 month. Advice? (photos)

Im not happy with my front view after 1 month post-o it looks so fake and so contoured and ugly will the shape change after 1 year (i did open septorhinoplasty).All my family and friends are happy with my result. But to me it just so different it changed my whole face not in a good way. Will my nose change after 1 month

Hello Sheenaar, Thank you for your question. I am sorry you are unhappy with your results. The rhinoplasty healing process can take up to three years to fully heal. Every day it will look different in subtle ways until it finally takes its final form. You have to remember that you are very early in the recovery process. i'm sorry you are unhappy with the early results. From the photos you show, quite honestly it appears like a what most rhinoplasty surgeons would consider a good resul. Therefore your communication and expectations going into the surgery must not have been clear wih the surgeon. But you should hang in there because there is definitely some swelling and it will take it a while for it to go away.

You need to have patience with your body as it begins to heal. The skin, bone and cartilage are all traumatized during surgery. Inflammation (swelling) is the normal response and will help your nose to heal and look beautiful in the end. Right now, concentrate on other things you like to do and let your nose and under eyes take the time to heal. It can take up a year for your final results. I hope this helps.

As you have experienced, changes occur over the course of rhinoplasty healing. At first, the nose looks too "fat" and too "up," especially at the tip. Most of the dropping happens early, but there can still be significant changes over the full year and beyond.

You still have swelling, swelling after a rhinoplasty can last up to 1 year which can make things look distorted and asymmetrical.  I would make sure you keep your post operative appointments with your surgeon to ensure things are healing correctly, without complications and to address these concerns you have.
