I have over crowding and a cross bite. I'm just wanting to know about how long it would take to correct my teeth, about how much it would cost, and what risks here are to my teeth if I don't get them corrected. I am also wondering if my case would be too severe for Invisible aligners.

Answer: Crowding If you do nothing, the risks are that your teeth will be very hard to clean and eventually gum disease will develop. You should see an orthodontist as full braces will be required. Hard to tell how long your treatment will last because you have a complicated case. As for as fees without xrays it is hard to estimate the cost in your area. You might want to see an orthodontist for a consultation. This visit is generally not charged. It may be tough to correct your smile and bite but you will be overjoyed with the final product.

Answer: Invisalign as a solution for overcrowding and cross bite -- also consider your airway health Invisalign will work to correct your crossbite and eliminate your crowding. You might want to first consider expanding your palate. Current research suggests that a narrow palate points to a constricted airway, and the latest medical research reveals that a constricted airway can cause many medical complications down the road. Invisalign will expand a little bit, but not like other appliances. I would look for a dentist or orthodontist who has a serious focus on airway health. It won't add significant time to your overall treatment, but you'll be a lot healthier because of it. And, your smile will be gorgeous when it's all said and done.
