You can absolutely get a piercing post lipo.  However, I would wait a minimum of 4-6 months to allow the area to heal completely!

You should wait 3 months minimum for the surgical scar to heal completely before repiercing. When I perform tummy tucks, I'll do the repiercing myself using sterile technique and local anesthesia.

Getting your belly button pierced after having Smart Lipo shouldn't be a problem. You will, of course, need to wait until your scar is fully healed. This could take 4 to 6 months. In that time, follow your surgeon's instructions for recovery and try to keep the scar soft through massage. Make sure your incision is completely healed before you proceed with any piercing.

In the majority of cases the incision used for Smart Lipo and the belly button piercing is not the same and if that's the case you you can definitely get your belly button pierced. On the other hand you should ask your treating physician if you may proceed safely. Good luck from New York City

You definitely can undergo re-piercing of the belly button after liposuction. I recommend you wait until the swelling from your lipo has subsided for 3 months or so and all incisions have sealed.

You should have absolutely no problem with getting a piercing after Smartlipo. As soon as the scar feels soft (massaging it daily will help for a few short minutes), you can get it pierced.david berman md
