On 2/8/19, I had Smart Lipo performed on my flanks, upper and lower abs. On the third day, I noticed the dents on my stomach. The doctor assistant saw them and said they will go away after swelling and hardness softens up. I need to know what can I do now to fix this.
Answer: VASER HI DEF 4D LIPO / 360 Degree Liposculpture / Body Contouring / REVISION Lipo / Skin Removal Surgery It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You may have swelling which can last 3 to 6 months after Smart Lipo. Compression along with lymphatic massage may give some improvement. For best results with treatments like Smart Lipo, I recommend adding a combination of radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish, truSculpt iD, Venus Legacy, adn Exilis Ultra for skin tightening and ZWave and Cellutone for skin smoothing. Pending a formal evaluation, you may be a good candidate for a Revision Liposuction. You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best. The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heats the skin with radiofrequency devices such as Renuvion (J-Plasma), InMode BodyTite, and ThermiRF to heat the undersurface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. These combinations are called 4D HI-DEF VASER Liposuction and can only be done by a well-trained body contouring specialist. At the same time, fat should be harvested and purified, with PRP and stem cells added, and then injected into muscles, indentations and cellulite to get body shaping and contouring. For a Brazilian butt lift (BBL), we inject the fat into the buttock for contouring and lifting, but fat can also be used in areas such as the chest/breast, arms/shoulders, calves and face. Cellulite should also be treated with a combination of Cellfina, subcision, and/or fillers such as Bellafill, Renuva synthetic fat, or Sculptra. If skin is very loose before surgery, then it will need to be removed: tummy tuck/abdominoplasty for lower abdominal skin; breast lift for excess breast skin; and/or a brachioplasty for loose arm skin.Once you have healed, you can see an expert for a full assessment. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Liposuction results Dear Blessed_11, I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a liposuction surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively. At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides you will be able to see the final result of your surgery. Answer: Post SmartLipo skin issues It is early to determine what final results you may have. However, the things to do now to maximize results and minimize skin issues are lymphatic massage, Radio Frequency or ultrasound skin tightening treatments. I prefer CynoSure's TempSure or Pelleve platforms for skin tightening. Be consistent in wearing your surgical garment as directed by the surgeon who did your procedure. A common thing not managed with procedures like this is micronutrient support. It is well known that high quality antioxidant levels in the skin help with improved healing. Vitamin C, specific Zinc and chelated Magnesium helps with healing. Also, specifically managing any measured deficiencies such as Vitamin D is also helpful.

Answer: What can I do to smooth or remove dents from my abdomen that appeared after Smart Lipo? You need to post before photos sp that we can compare... There are 4 reasons for results like the ones posted. #1. Wrong operative choice of any type of liposuction technology where a full TT was a better option. #2. Inexperience in liposuction techniques. Understand it is NOT the technology used in liposuction but the surgeon preforming. #3. or a combination of #1, #2. Best to allow 3-6 months healing with aggressive massage therapy, fibrosis therapies, external ultrasound therapies. Than revision as a 'skin only full TT' or SAFE liposuction techniques to release fibrosis.

Answer: Concern 4 weeks after SMART lipo Hi and welcome to our forum! Congratulations on your recent procedure...The procedure of liposuction is an "insult" to the soft tissues, resulting in swelling which will initially totally obscure the operative result. A tight garment may exaggerate the appearance of the swollen lax tissue compressed beneath it. The purpose of a compression garment is to prevent bleeding and to control swelling. We usually recommend its use for the first 4-6 weeks after the procedure. 60-80% of the swelling should subside within the first 6 weeks, with the remainder slowly subsiding over 6-12 months. In order to control excessive swelling, we usually recommend the use of lymphatic massage, ultrasonic and radiofrequency energy treatments to hasten resolution. Continue followup care with your plastic surgeon... Best wishes...
