I had a mastopexy with no implants in 2018 to reduce my areolas. I opted for the donut technique and was given permanent stitching to prevent the areolas from stretching. The results were disappointing as I developed bad scarring, puffiness from stitch tension, pain from the stitching, & my areolas ended up expanding. I did not have any life changes nor am I planning on having kids. Seeking revision to remove stitching, reduce areolas, and eliminate puffiness. Will travel for experienced surgeon.
Answer: Considering options From the photo it looks like you will have the best outcome from a standard breast lift which would address the areola size as well. You can consider an autoaugmentation which uses your own tissue to create more upper pole fullness and improve shape. This is different than a fat transfer. I've included a video on this approach that I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Areola reduction Dear Isa1993, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering surgery, I would suggest you consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination, you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Areolar stretching after donut lifts Compared to skin, areolas are quite stretchy which is why donut-type lifts commonly fail and result in expanded areolas. A revision breast lift with a lollipop approach can help distribute the tension away from the areolas to the surrounding skin and reliably decrease the size of the areolas. At the same time, the breasts can be shaped for a more meaningful lift as well. Best, Dr. Zamani

Answer: Nipple areola reconstruction Hi! Your description is on point as you have poor scarring, and also stretched nipple Ariola complexes. What you need is a nipple areola complex reconstruction in which we can decrease the size of your areola to the size that you would like, remove the scarring, and then also put in sutures, that are less inflammatory and not permanent to decrease the burning of scar healing and consequently decrease the scar risk. Moreover, it is important to use certain suture techniques here to maintain the size of your areola, for it do not stretch in the future. Happy to consult you and do a full exam in person.

Answer: Breast reduction - You are an excellent candidate for a breast revision. I would offer a Wise pattern breast reduction with a lift. This will reduce your areola and give you better breast shape. Best to be seen in person for a consultation ( or Zoom). This is a common revision i have done and seen. Best to see a board certified plastic surgeon. You should do very well. Good luck.
