I’m in my 30s and my skin is aging- I feel like my wrinkles, uneven skin tone & eyes are most noticeable (dark circles/hollowed out or sometimes puffy under eyes). Would Botox be a good option for me, and where do I need it? Are there other injections, lasers or procedures I should try on my skin also? I have wrinkles, Melasma on my forehead and uneven skin/sun spots and some acne scarring and don’t know where to start. Thank you!
Answer: Facial Rejuvenation Hi @Glorious282189! I recommend Botox to treat the wrinkles on your forehead (frontalis muscle) and glabella region (between your eyebrows). For the tear trough area, I would recommend fillers (Juvederm Voluma, Restylane Defyne, or regular Restylane). If you notice swelling in the morning upon waking up or swell after a night of drinking, you may not be a great candidate for under eye filler. Another non-surgical option to help with the hollowing of the under eyes would be PRP injections. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma. PRP is highly effective for restoring sunken eyes. Generally, two vials of blood will be collected from the patient and placed into a centrifuge. The centrifuge spins and separates the platelets from the rest of the blood components. The plasma contains the valuable collagen and growth factors from the rest of the blood's components. The plasma is then drawn up into a syringe and injected in the tear trough area. In terms of skin texture, a good treatment option would be micro-needling. However, due to your history of melasma, I would go to a very knowledgable practitioner if you do a microneedling treatment with radiofrency. Melanocytes live on the most superficial layer of your skin and a radiofrequency microneedling device like Morpheus 8 may cause your melasma to activate. That being said, you are still a candidate for RF microneedling. I would just recommend that the practitioner is very conservative with your treatment. The gold standard for the treatment of melasma is Hydroquinone. I hope this information was helpful :)

Answer: Injectables Botox works extremely well to treat dynamic lines of expression, lines that are caused in motion. If treated by an experienced and licensed professional, then Botox is very safe and effective for treating areas of concern. Botox effects typically last 3-4 months, and some muscle activity will restart gradually afterwards. If lines are still visible at rest, even after a Botox treatment has taken effect, a small amount of Filler may be used to soften those static lines, the lines that remain even at rest. It is imperative to seek treatment by an experienced board-certified facial plastic surgeon, general plastic surgeon, or dermatologist.

Answer: Consider your options for rejuvenating your appearance Thank you for your question and photos. You may benefit from a combination of treatments to create a youthful and rejuvenated appearance. Botox injections can diminish the mild wrinkles on your forehead, while dermal fillers are an excellent choice for smoothing the transition between your lower eyelid and upper cheek area. Combining these injectable solutions with RF microneedling can enhance your results, as this radiofrequency treatment increases your body’s collagen production, restores your skin’s elasticity, and improves its quality and texture. Though injectable treatments are not as invasive as surgery, they still require a great deal of skill and precision to achieve the best possible results. The use of a micro-cannula to inject the under-eye area with filler can minimize bruising and swelling and ensure the smoothest outcome. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced expert injector who can review your aesthetic goals and suggest the best treatment options for you.

Answer: Skin You will have the best results from a combination of treatments. The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified surgeon's office for a consultation. Botox works well for dynamic wrinkles on the forehead, crow's feet, and to slim the jaw. Fillers can add volume, help under eye concerns, and improve facial contours. Morpheus8 treatments will address skin tone and texture. We also recommend using medical grade skin care products such as Transform MD and wearing sunscreen every day.

Answer: Good Option, Forehead and Crows Feet You are are a good age to start some type of neurotoxin to treat your dynamic rhytids, or wrinkles that only show up when you are moving your face. The wrinkles typically treated by neurotoxins are between the eyes, on the forehead, and in the "crows feet" around the eyes. Right now, it seems as if you would benefit most from forehead and crows feet injection.
