I’ve had botox 3 months ago and I’ve got a frozen face, droopy eyebrows, and excess eyelid skin falling down on my eyes. My eyes look hooded in the worst way possible and are asymmetrical. I know that I’ve been over treated. I’ve got injected with 40 units for my forehead, 11s, & above and below my brows. I can move my brows slightly now but I’m not noticing any improvement on how I look.. will this ever go away? I’ve heard that the eyelids never come back to normal for some people…
Answer: Botox: what you should know Thank you for your question. Botox results are temporary. They typically last between 3-4 months. The side effects you mentioned (droopy brows and eyelids) commonly happen when Botox is placed too low or if it migrates downward. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a skilled and experienced injector. They will be able to review your treatment history, assess your concerns, and determine the best treatment plan to achieve the best possible results.

Answer: Yes, Likely Soon That is a fairly heavy dose for the forehead. If it has already been 3 months, the most likely scenario is that the toxin is about to wear off and you will likely be back to normal. However, with large doses, the effects of the toxin can rarely extend out to about 6 months. It would be exceedingly rare for the effects to never correct themselves. Make sure that you are being injected by a board certified plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or dermatologist to prevent these issues in the future.

Answer: Non-Surgical Chemical Brow Lift for Eyelid Rejuvenation -- add Ultherapy, Thread Lifting, RF Skin Tightening, Laser Treatments As we age, our eyelids naturally sag and droop. A combination approach would be best to see visible improvement. In terms of non-surgical treatment options, I would recommend a Chemical Brow Lift (using Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, or Jeuveau) and filler injections to rejuvenate the temples, eyebrow, eyelid, eye troughs, upper eye hollows, and forehead. I typically combine this with Ultherapy and thread lifting to lift the brow; RF and skin tightening laser treatments to stimulate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin; and laser or superficial RF devices for improvements in texture, color, and any crepey skin around the eyes as needed. In some cases, surgery is the best solution to achieve the desired results. See an expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Always temporary and do this if you want to go back to normal ASAP Hello. Thanks for sharing your cases. Botox is a treatment that doesn't last forever. There are some side effects including those you mention. If you want to go back to normal as soon as possible, you can always try facial treatments with radiofrequency such as morpheus or CO2 resurfacing laser that helps the botox effects to be gone sooner. It always comes back to normal after 4 to 6 months post treatment. Don't forget to follow up with your aesthetic physician and set a treatment plan to have the optimal results. Good luck.
