I had a closed rhinoplasty where my surgeon removed the bridge, narrowed and shortened the tip. I also asked him to lower the bridge and he said he would. When the cast was removed 3DAYS ago I noticed my bridge is still high. Is this the swelling? Will it go down over time? And wil the tip stay where it is or will it drop? I’m really not satisfied with the results so far and tried to e-mail my doctor about it but I havent received any anwsers from his part.

Answer: Healing process Hello Alexizak, It is far too early to judge the final result since you are only 3 days post op and your nose is still healing (rhinoplasty takes about one year to fully heal). During the healing process swelling dissipates gradually. Please continue to ice and take Arnica tablets (they help with bruising/swelling). Best,Dr. Nima

Answer: Post rhinoplasty healing Thank you for your question. You're still really early in the healing process and need to allow more time for your nose to heal.Typically, the initial swelling after nose surgery subsides within two to three weeks. However, residual swelling, especially in the tip of the nose, can take about a year to resolve as the contour refines. Swelling can also vary through the day, being more prominent in the morning. Try and be patient as your nose will continue to heal and make changes.
