You really cannot say what your Norwood scale is because you may continue to lose your hair and you may end up with a Norwood 6 pattern. It depends on an examination rather than a photo. A Norwood scale is not a snap shot of what you are now, but your genetic predisposition of what you were born to be.
It is difficult to assess just from photos but you may be closer to an early 4 or 5 pattern. You really need an in-person examination to fully evaluate your pattern and donor supply. It is best to use a number of grafts that will both give you a nice result and conserve your donor supply for future needs.
Ofcourse it would be best to have an in person evaluation to assess donor densityin addition to evaluating the extent of miniaturization in the front, top andcrown. We would be better able to giveyou an accurate Norwood class plus let you know where you are heading. During the evaluation, we would establish amaster plan for your future hair needs. On the initial visit, we often recommend medication to help you keep thehair you have. Best guess - you are aNorwood 4…almost 5.
Hi there, thanks for the photos.yes you would need about the same number. you can get a good density and youa re good candidate for fue. best of luck
Judging by your top photo, you would need 3,500 - 4,000 grafts if you are looking to achieve full density.A great first step would be an online consultation. Often you can submit photos to top hair restoration surgeons for a complimentary evaluation. This should help lead you in the right direction. Having multiple consultations with different doctors cannot hurt.
You appear to have a thinning pattern. If you are under 25 years old, I would try to reverse the thinning with medication only and would not recommend a transplant.
In my opinion, the reason to add finasteride is not for any short term benefit this soon after your FUT procedure. Your apparent telogen effluvium post-operative shedding, should start resolving soon. Finasteride side effects are quite unusual, but taking a prescription medication...
· You should contact the physician that did your hair transplant and follow their recommendations. As far as what we recommend to our patients, exercise may resume after the 4th day. You should be performing twice a day hair washes to help gently remove the scabs. Trans-...
The reason for choosing scalp hair over other locations has to do with your scalp hairs growth cycle. Scalp hair has a longer growth phase (anagen phase) and a shorter resting phase (telogen phase). What does this mean to you? More likely than not, your newly transplanted graft will be vis...
It's very unlikely that Diclofenac affected the results of your transplant- hopefully at the time you would have mentioned to your doctor(s) about all your health issues including that you would be taking it while recovering from a hair transplant surgery. If so they wouldn't have prescribed it...
There's no way to grow hair that wasn't there before without a hair transplant. Things like Minoxidil and Finasteride can promote growth in areas where hair already has grown, but they cannot cause you to start growing hair in brand new places.
There shouldn't be any problem with taking either of those, but check with your doctor just to be safe. They may have knowledge of your case that could change that deadline. Generally it is a 2 week wait before resuming strenuous exercise but every doctor has slightly different guidelines.
