What is the best donor site for eyebrow transplants on people with Afro-textured hair?

I'm considering an eyebrow transplant, but the hair on my head looks nothing like the hair on my eyebrows. I am of African descent and have Afro-textured hair on my head. My underarm and pubic hair are straight and more similar to my eyebrows. I've seen many comments that it is best to use air from the head, but can someone explain why this is best and what have you seen work on other people of African ancestry?

If you want to use armpit hair or your pubic hair as your donor hair it is best to consult with a doctor in person as the answers here are just generalizations.   What you are asking has been done on a case by case basis.

reason for choosing scalp hair over other locations has to do with your scalp
hairs growth cycle.  Scalp hair has a
longer growth phase (anagen phase) and a shorter resting phase (telogen phase).  What does this mean to you?   More likely than not, your newly
transplanted graft will be visible with a hair shaft as opposed to being not
visible because the hair was shed as part of the shortened growth cycle.

One can use donor hair from other parts of the body if that is a decision that you and your doctor make together. We have used all of the sites you discussed mostly for hair transplants and body transplants.
