My dermatologist prescribed doxycycline and Retin-A for my acne and said that it wouldn't affect my beard transplant, but just want to be sure and ask here. - Does taking Doxycycline pills cause hair loss/affect results of a beard transplant? - What about applying Retin - A on face? Thanks, Derrick

As you rightfully state: "it does depend on seeing your doctor since everyone is different". In general you need to wait to see the transplanted hair grow out. This takes 6 to 12 months.

It is normal for the skin to get red and irritated post facial hair transplant. This phase typically lasts about a month and does settle down naturally. If it does not steroids and medications can be considered to settle down the inflammation.
