Exilis or SculpSure for small amount of fat around armpit (front and back)?

Question

I’m thin and in good shape, but for some reason this area just won’t tone up for me. The fat is located both under, behind and in front of my armpit. I would be happy with about 20-25% reduction, but I’d like the benefit of skin tightening as well. Which of these two treatments, SculpSure or Exilis would you recommend? Thank you!

Sculpsure is good for removing stubborn areas of fat, but lacks body shaping. For best results to this area, I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. For the area that you describe, Sculpsure (2-3 treatments) should work very well. While there are more direct and invasive approaches such as liposuction, the risks and downtime of those are significant. Since you say you are in good shape and active, I would use something non-invasive such as Sculpsure to get that area reduced.

Thank you for your question.  A photo of the area would be helpful.  Being familiar with Sculpsure and not Exillis, I can recommend Sculpsure for non invasive fat reduction.  In terms of skin tightening, as with liposuction, good candidates should have good skin tone so that it may retract when the fat diminishes.  For you locations, an examination will be important to give you a reasonable idea of expectations, since the area in front of the arm pit may also contain more fibrous or breast tissue that would not respond.

SculpSure has the benefit of targeting pockets of unwanted fat.  A nice side effect is also skin tightening. Two to three sessions are usually needed.  Arms, back, and legs usually require 3 treatments as the fat is more fibrous.  After treatment, continue with your exercise regimen.  Staying well hydrated also helps with the results.  You'll start to notice improvement at about 6 weeks.  It takes that amount of time for your lymphatic system to remove the damaged fat from the treatment area.

SculpSure uses a laser to destroy fat cells and works well for bra line fat.  I am not quite sure what areas you are referring to, if it is breast tissue, SculpSure will not work.  Consult with a doctor to see if you are a candidate.Good Luck!
