I have my original implants, Dec 1987. Saline with silicone shell, encapsulated quickly, never really dropped. Placed under pecs, original breast size 34A, implants C cup. Suggestions for improving the look of my breasts? Ok with removal of implants, just would like nipples centered on breast, whatever size. Willing to travel in state & TX.
Answer: Breast revision Thank you for submitting your questions and photos. Based on the photos submitted, I think you'd be a great candidate for a breast lift with implant exchange. Of course, your implants can be removed, but you'd need to feel okay about having smaller breasts. If you'd like to maintain your current volume but improve your breast shape, then a lift with implant exchange is a great option. I highly recommend you seek out a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options in further detail. Good luck and thanks again for reaching out!

Answer: Revision surgery Dear RSMember16465, breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery. Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size. While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals. Answer: Breasts You would do better with smaller implants and releasing the capsule internally to let the implants settle down, and a lift to raise your own breast tissue up into position. I am in San Antonio.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Revision Augmentation Mastopexy You will benefit from a surgery to remove your implants and surrounding scar capsule and replace with a modern silicone gel implant in the same subpectoral position, and a formal mastopexy to reposition breast tissue and nipple areolar complex over the new breast mound.
