Dr. McCoy and Jennifer (so kind) were the best despite me having a panic attack afterwards. He did 6 units of Bellafill and a bonus of Dysport around my lips which I absolutely love, turned my smile upwards. I can’t recommend this office enough!
I am a 64year old women, had Erbium facial resurfacing at 55 years, took about 5 or a little more years off my life. At this point, 64years, I needed to revisit wrinkles on my chin, lips, around eyes, sagging on my face, sun damage on chest, sagging of my neck. I visited Dr. MCCOY, had a consultation, found this doctor to be the best in all non surgical procedures for preventing aging. He is highly skilled and does 100's of facial procedures like mine each week, doing this for years, he teaches, writes books, has all the latest technology, devices, only works on faces. He develops new techniques, using cutting edge technology that other doctors don't do. He spends much time researching all new techniques to provide the best outcome cosmetically. His office is superb at follow up and managing all after care. I can't say enough good about my new face, this doctor and his staff. If you reserch him this doctor spends much time providing perfection, he's truly dedicated and will answer all your emails. This is not an asy procedure just a warning, my face is still red and will continue on this path but it will get better and so will my appearance every day. This is permanent and should last 10 years, takes 10 years off my age. Updated on 3 May 2019: Please look at pictures of headband these are pictures of before the Jplasma and Erbium laser was done on face neck, chest. I couldn't change the sequence and it shows before the procedure, wrinkles on chin, lips, around eyes, sagging sunken face,my neck will continue to improve as the JPlasma helium tightens over time,my chest is mostly free of sun brown spot damage, that will continue to improve over time. This process is somewhat lengthy, recuperation is at least 14 days for my procedure to look fairly good, swelling and peeling still occurs, tighteneing continues along with increased collagen building. This doctor is very talented, only does this sort of thing with all other types of procedures, fillers on the face, non surgical, teaches, does 100's of these, skilled writes books, no one better, uses techniques to achieve the best outcome, that other doctors would never do. He is a cutting edge, super talented, dedicated to reversing aging on the face, and other areas of the body, that's all he does, no surgery, doing it for years. His staff is caring kind, outstanding, will baby sit you for 2 weeks, make sure your healing doing everything perfect. I recommend this office highly because this is what they do everyday not tummy tucks, breast surgery, any surgery just all of this non surgical age reversing procedures, they know whats best, have the nest lates cutting edge devices, totally up to date on everything. The doctor is passionate that you heal properly will follow you everyday himself, who does that. Updated on 14 Mar 2022: Stop fillers get your face laser, waste of money won’t help you age gracefully. You will be a slave to this and will cost more not look good as you age. Take a look at my pictures, stated a laser 55 yrs, second one 66 yr. Fillers won’t correct all the wrinkles and discoloration age spots eye wrinkles.
Dr. McCoy not only has the experience to back his expertise, but I also think he is a true artist. I received filler injections for my face and he knows how to sculpt for face so you still look like yourself, only 5-10 years younger. He truly is amazing and I haven’t met any other doc who analyzes my face structure to find the right spots for injections etc. the best!
My treatment was very professionally handled. I would say having Sarah at Dr. McCoy's office who is has been a personal trainer and knows her muscular infrastructure was a huge plus as to how to place the paddles where and why. It's important to know that patient should also be committed to personally following up after the treatments and work out the same muscles. What the doctor's office creates in muscle structure can be enhanced by the person using that muscle structure to build even more muscle. Exciting stuff!
I am going to be 50 years old this summer and thanks to Dr.McCoy's stellar skills (yes, I said stellar), very few people guess my age. People regularly mistake me for being in my 30's. When asked what my trick is, I tell them "my secret weapon is Dr.McCoy and the amazing staff at Contour Medical". When I visit Dr.McCoy, I know he cares about what is important to me. He is the perfect balance of mad skills, sensitivity and candor. If you are looking for the best, you don't have to look any further.
Hey guys, I would highly recommend Dr. McCoy to any man who works out hard to look good and wants his face to match his body. If you are not fit, restoring your face to a younger version of you may be just the motivation you need to do a complete body transformation. In any case, men, this is the doctor you can trust. I have been working with a trainer for several years, have lost and kept off 20 pounds, and work out 4 times a week. Before seeing Dr. McCoy, I could have been described as a vintage "1963" (that is, I have been told I have the body of a fit 19 year old, and along with strength and a fit body has come increased energy, drive, and ambition. However, at 63, my face did not reflect who I felt like inside, and looked like from the neck down). Dr. McCoy performed injections today and I couldn't be happier. I am getting rave reviews! I had no idea that my jaw line and neck could be transformed back to my youthful days, let alone my eyes and cheeks. When I look in the mirror and feel my face, it is like the way I remembered so many years ago. Dr. McCoy is an expert, and yet has remained personable and caring. He obviously loves what he does. He has an artistic eye, took time to explain everything, and offered the needed encouragement. He planned a complete regimen and I have a follow up in six weeks. And a shout out to staff. Everyone was was kind and welcoming. The spacious office was very inviting. Men will not feel awkward here. It will feel like an extension of your bodybuilding. Cliff
No one compares to Dr. McCoy. I will not trust my face to anyone but him. He has an artistic eye that I will always be grateful for. It is so pertinent to find a doctor who understands facial anatomy, facial planes, etc. He took pictures and showed me via 3-D imaging what he thought was best for my face and where improvements could be made that would help the whole face. Oftentimes what we think we need in our face is not at all aesthetically pleasing and can cause a very bad and unnatural outcome. I can rest easy knowing that he has that science and talent down to an art. He is warm, caring and did not rush through the procedure. He explained everything he recommended and kept me at ease throughout the process. I had a very bad lip injection done by a different provider and my proportions in my face were off overall. He was able to not only correct my duck looking lips but also make my whole face look younger and more proportionate. His office is clean, modern with a staff that match him in personality and warmth. I was beside myself with what I looked like from a previous doctor and the manager Jeremy got me in the same day. Dr. McCoy and his whole staff actually stayed late to help me! Sarah, his technician calmed me down, reasurred me and genuinely cared about how I felt. They all exceeded my expectations. It is obvious from the moment you walk in the door that Jeremy, Sarah and Dr. McCoy all genuinely care and love their profession. In short, I highly recommend!!!!
Contour Medical is my fountain of youth. I am 49 years old headed quickly towards 50. I kept noticing cheek wrinkles, heavy eye wrinkles and bags under my eyes. I grew up in the sun in California and Arizona. I smoked when I was younger. I also spent about 2 weeks a year basking in the sun in the Caribbean. Obviously, I did not listen to all the advice about good skin care over the years. I met with Dr. McCoy at his office in Gilbert. When I explained what areas I wanted to improve he gave me a lot of choices. Some were minor and had little to no down time. While others were more drastic and required weeks of recovery but the results were virtually guaranteed. I chose to have the J Plasma resurfacing. I am three months out and look at least 10 years younger. There are no more cheek wrinkles or loose skin under the eyes. It is absolutely amazing. The procedure required 2 ½ weeks of staying home after it was performed. I looked like a monster! It was uncomfortable but not painful. 2 ½ weeks of basically coating your face in a Vaseline type ointment and sleeping on your back. Washing several times a day and quite a bit of swelling. The only pain reliever I took during the whole thing was over the counter Ibuprofen. More for inflammation that anything else. I was also given a low dose steroid to help with the inflammation and antibiotics to prevent infection. I healed beautifully. I am a Type 1 diabetic and Dr. McCoy took great care with me. His staff makes you feel comfortable and welcome. They answer all your questions and the follow up care is incredible. I spent a lot of time in LED lighting and a Photo facial to help with the redness during the weeks after the procedure. The staff gave me numbers to call 24/7 with any concerns. Even warned me that day 3 and 4 after the procedure I would probably wonder what the hell I did. They were there to talk me off the ledge Haha.As I age I will continue to go to Dr. McCoy. I have the look of youth that I wanted. He did some fillers which also turned out beautifully and look very natural. I can’t say enough good things about him and his staff. The best compliment from all of this is from my husband of 26 years who can’t believe the difference. I truly feel lovely going into my 50th year and I plan to toast Dr. McCoy on my birthday for making me feel so great about my age. I highly recommend this procedure done my Dr. McCoy.
I had fine lines and some beginning sagging. It has been 1 month since the procedure. I healed fairly quickly. Lots of swelling the first two days. Then peeling for 2 to 3 days. No pain. I had high hopes for this procedure. I have to say, I am extremely disappointed!! I'm not really seeing a great change. My skin color is even basically the same. Everyday I see more fine lines, not less. As far as I'm concerned it was a waist of money and a week of down time. Maybe it was due to the doctors technique. Dr. McCoy, moved the wand fairly quickly over my entire face, neck and chest. I have seen videos of well known doctors that take their time and only do small squares at a time. Maybe that works better. Time is money, right?! I have no idea what procedure is best. I just know this one wasn't great or worth it!
The procedure was not uncomfortable by any means! A little jolt at the beginning, but you get used to it quickly. I can see a change in the overall shape and tightness of the buttocks. Dr. McCoy and his staff were great to work with and obvious that they knew what they were doing. Upon completion of a treatment, you get the feeling that you had just done a bunch of crunches!
Usually for thigh toning and/or slimming I'd chose Emsculpt over coolsculpting. I have treated thighs with good success in building muscle and improving skin quality. It isn't talked about much, but I find in most of my Emsculpt patients the skin quality appears significantly improved (not just gain in muscle). My impression is that it is more than just having tissue tighter from increase in the underlying muscle. It could be from he improved blood flow during the treatment or there may be something else going on. If the issue is more related to loose skin vs muscle tone, my go-to in office is the NuEra tight. Very happy with the results from this, although there are many options that are good options (Exilis Ultra, Emtone, thermi250, etc). The best result for most non-surgical body contouring is from combining treatments that compliment each other (and typically use different mechanisms of action). Hope this helps. Cheers, Dr. JD McCoy
most important thing with non-surgical nose reshaping is working with an injector that has significant experience (injecting the full face including the nose). Most patients opt for a more temporary correction the first time they get treatment to the nose (hyaluronic acid based product). Bellafill is used off-label for nose reshaping, and it is one of my preferred options when correcting the nose and nasal bridge (and piriform aperture). I am fine using a longer lasting product in a patient for nose correction since, when done properly, patients are very happy with the result and often prefer a more permanent solution versus a temporary product that needs to be redone over and over. When the correction is done properly, only very small amounts (some areas only a drop or two) are injected per visit. Typically staged and progressively corrected over time (since the product improves with time). Hope this helps, Cheers, Dr. JD McCoy
One of the most elegant fillers to inject is Bellafill. It is a great option for structural areas that need definition or some projection. The result is from a long term stimulation of your own collagen, so it is your own stuff and improves with time. There is an instant result from treatment, but there will be continued improvement weeks and months after injection. When I am correcting an area like the chin I prefer to build the result over multiple treatments (typically 2-3 spaced apart)- I feel like you get more out of the product (better result) and this maintains a natural, progressive correction (limiting the risk of over correction). I love correcting the chin! Can't forget about the jaw though (the chin is really an extension of the jaw). Most patients will opt for me to correct the entire region - which does require more product. This can be spaced over time, which can assist financially and delivers the best result. Most younger patients would need 1-3 syringes to do this type of correction. Correction is the longest lasting with Bellafill (on label 5 years), but there will be correction that will last longer. You will continue to age, and some patients will offset normal aging with minimal follow up (younger patients can expect to use even less for maintenance over time). Due to continued volume loss with aging: you will use/need more and more temporary filler over time versus a longer-lasting option (Bellafill) you will use/need less and less over time. Hope this helps. Cheers, Dr. J.D. McCoy
I was one of the very early clinical sites for the Emsculpt (started using the prototype in 2016)- so I've performed among the most treatments in the Country. I have played with diet and some supplementation to see if there is a significant impact on the treatment results. I did not perform a controlled study, but used observation of clinical outcome. Highly subjective stuff eh! After doing a ton of treatments with no significant modification of diet, I can say that the treatment works regardless. However, I do think patient that are getting adequate or higher protein do a bit better. I don't think higher carbs are required. One of the mechanisms of action involves liberating free fatty acids from the localized fat as an energy source. This process speeds up in a lower carbohydrate environment (this is during treatment). Post treatment, muscle is replenished/restored which requires amino acids (protein) and carbohydrate/insulin (ideally). Maximum muscle gain seems to be with a moderate high protein and moderate carbohydrate diet. If your goal is primarily fat reduction, keto will likely be of benefit. If your goal is maximum muscle gain, Keto may put you at a disadvantage. Hope this helps. Cheers, Dr. JD McCoy
I started working with the Emsculpt prototype in 2016 (2nd clinic in the country) and I was a clinical site for the glute lifting study (published in Journal of Drugs in Dermatology). We have performed 1000s of treatments on males and females. The standard protocol of 4 treatments works beautifully. From my experience there is a distinct advantage to doing an additional treatment 4-6 weeks post 4 treatment protocol (my standard protocol in 4 treatments in 2 weeks, 5th treatment 4-6 weeks post last treatment). I have tried various series of treatment, and 4 still comes out on top "out of the gate". In the MRI follow up data collection there is a continued improvement in muscle thickness for 6 months (that's very interesting eh! More than the reported 16% in the study and on the brochure...actually closer to 23%). That is likely because it isn't just purely an increase in muscle and shape (lift), but there is a FUNCTIONAL improvement (you can FEEL a difference in the way that the muscle engages/contracts). Very cool. This means that you will likely see improvement/gain in muscle because you are using the muscle group differently (likely more fully engaging the contraction). That also explains why we don't see the need to continue treatments to maintain result (over time if you don't physically strain the muscle with weight bearing activity of some kind there can be a regression). However, most patients are doing some form of activity. I have found that if you take advantage of the naturally occurring improvement after your initial session (wait for 3-6 months), you can retreat the area and will see additional benefit. You can treat a different area during the "gap" in treatment of the original area. I would encourage you to not forget about the glutes. The improvement I see in patients posture and overall strength is significant when treating the buttocks. The largest muscle group on the body is the glute complex- greatest release of growth hormone and testosterone from exercising the legs (fastest muscle to atrophy when you become sedentary is the glute). Hope this helps! Cheers, Dr. JD McCoy
