Too much gums. Any suggestions?

When I smile I hate it even with my mouth close but when I smile with teeth even with very little trying this happens. I hate my gums showing and I do not want any to show at all. What do I do?

You appear to have the right length of teeth so lifting the gums up may not be an option. It looks like you may need to have procedure called Zplasty. I would recommend that you consult with a periodontist concerning this recession.  You are very young to have this recession and should not wait to have it addressed.  At some point it may require a gingival graft that would be taken from your palate.  See what a board certified...

You should consult with an orthodontist as well as cosmetic dentist to discuss your options. Orthodontics can widen your smile and veneers can make your teeth wider and longer. Your face is much narrower and you have thinner lips.
