How long does it take to see results from CoolSculpting? Will I need more than 1 treatment?

Typically patients can begin to see results as early as 3 weeks following treatment and will experience the most visible results after 2 months. Your body will continue to eliminate the treated fat cells for up  to 6 months post treatment. We encourage patients to be seen regularly following treatment to asses their results and treatment plan.The number of treatments required depends on the patients goals. Cool Sculpting offers a 25% reduction in fat following treatment and therefore the number of treatments required is based on the amount of fat reduction the patient wishes to achieve. Larger areas of fat may require retreating to target deeper fat cells..

Each session of CoolSculpting removes between 20% to 35% of fat, depending on the expertise of the practitioner. At our center, we reach the 35% mark because of our experience and because we add in Zimmer Z-wave radial pulsed therapy afterward. Many of our patients are happy with just the one treatment. It all depends on how much fat you want to remove. Up to three treatments is the norm. You see your final results about 2 to 3 months after your last CoolSculpting session. Coolsculpting relies on Cryolipolysis due to the fact that fat cells are more sensitive to cold than are other tissues. We utilize the new Cool Advantage applicators which are much more comfortable and reduce treatment time to 35 minutes. The advance cooling technology selectively targets and eliminates fat cells gently and gradually without affecting the surrounding tissue. Patients in our office have seen an average fat reduction of 20-25% with each treatment. Depending on the patient's body composition and outcome goals, it generally takes more than one treatment to achieve optimal results. A second treatment is general scheduled 30 to 45 days after the initial treatment. It takes about 2-3 months to get a general idea of the final results. The results are long-lasting as long as you maintain a stable healthy lifestyle.  I recommend scheduling a consultation with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon well versed in all aspects of body contouring to determine if your an ideal candidate for CoolSculpting.

This is difficult to answer without pictures. Some people need more than one treatment to get desired results. For best results, a combination approach is needed. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. However, a Vaser with ThermiRF procedure is the best combination for a toned result, but requires more downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Without a picture it is impossible to tell you how many cycles you need. It will depend on the results you want to achieve, and the areas you want to treat. Please visit a local provider in person to determine the best course of action. They should be able to give you a treatment plan. Although it can take up to 3 months for your full results to develop after CoolSculpting, you could be able to see the start of your new contours within a few weeks after your first treatment. Thank you for your question. After a coolsculpting treatment, you can begin to notice results as early as 4 weeks. More commonly, though, results are noticed about 6-8 weeks after treatment and fat loss can continue through the 12th week after your treatment. Once you have results, you and your provider can determine if an additional treatment would be an appropriate course of action. There are some people that like to continue to treat the area to get it even smaller, but most people are happy with their results after one treatment. It really comes down to personal preference. Hi. CoolSculpting is a non-invasive minimal downtime treatment used to reduce about 25% of the stubborn fat cells in an area. It is meant for small to medium pockets of fat. For larger areas liposuction will provide better results. The number of treatments depends on the individual but ranges from 1-3 treatments on average. Results can be seen in as little as 8 weeks post treatment and full results around 12 weeks post treatment. Number of treatments needed, and time to see improvement, depends on each individual patient.  Variables such as anatomic area and volume of fat tissue impact results.  That being said, most patients will want about 3 treatments total to get optimal results.  You'll start to see improvement within weeks, but "final results" won't be apparent for at least 3 months after your final treatment.

It is not possible to tell how many sessions you will need without a consultation in person.  Each applicator session removes about 20% of the fat.  So it depends on how much fat is there and how many areas you need done.  It also works best on localized deposits of fat, not diffuse fat areas.  Most patients do return for multiple sessions to attain their goals.  The advantage is the lack of downtime, but it is a much more graudual resolution of fat than surgical liposuction.
