Will Buccal Fat Pad Removal affect my pitted acne scars on my cheeks?

I am wanting to have Buccal Fat Pad Removal. I was wondering if it will deepen the pitted scars (I have lots, because of acne many years ago) that are around the area where the buccal fat pad is. Will the loss of fat cause the scars to deepen/sink further?
