Answer: Square face Hello there and thank you for your question. First of all, there are lots of factors that contribute to a square appearing face - bony structure, hypertrophy of the masseter muscle, descent of subcutaneous tissue. Although you say that your "jaw bone" is increasing by day, I will have to say that I am skeptical that this is the true cause of your worsening square-ness - your bones just don't grow as you age. In fact, unless you have a rare disease causing bones to grow, bones actually resorb with age. I suspect that one of the other causes may be at play here. Most commonly we see patients who have overactive masseter muscles, either genetically or from habits like clenching the jaw, chewing, etc. This contributes to bulkiness in the area. "Natural" treatments include decreasing the habitual motions and contractions that makes this muscle strong and wearing a night guard. And of course, in our fields, treatments like Botox directly into the muscle are highly effective. Good luck.
