Your question is an excellent one and a question that all plastic surgeons and dermatologists ask ourselves. How can the products remain so expensive when there are so many new products introduced to the market every few years? The answer is that the companies have set the price and physicians can occassionally discount the cost of a syringe however, the cost for us to purchase a syringe of dermal filler has gone up over time. When one company raises their price, the other companies will do the same. Very perplexing as this is completely contradictory to what economics would dictate in a competitive market like dermal fillers.
Unfortunately prices of dermal fillers ,botulinum toxins , and skin care products tend to go up not down. This is mostly due to the companies raising the prices . However, their are reward programs such as Aspire and Brillant Distinctions that you can sign up for and will help lower the price. Also ,many physicians will offer promotions during the year that can be useful to lower the price .
Unfortunately, the price of fillers keeps going up, not down. Allergan (the manufacturer) just raised the price of Juvederm Ultra by 10%. These price increases will be passed on to patients eventually. There will be more fillers coming to market in the future and hopefully more competition will help to keep price increases in check. You should also realize that you're not only paying for the price of the filler. You're paying for the expertise of your injector. Choose your injector wisely.
One would think that the price of fillers would go down with so many products and so much competition but I do not see that happening any time soon. Allergan just raised the price of some of the Juvederm fillers so I will probably eventually pass that change down to my patients using Juvederm . Hopefully the opther fillers will not go up
Despite a number of dermal fillers on the market, they are all about the same price and I do not think they will go down anytime soon. Infact, like Botox and Xeomin, the priced for fillers have been going up!
The lines that are prominent on your photos are from the attachment of muscles. they cannot be eliminated, but can be improved with a filler. If you have truly lost volume, then a filler like Juvederm Voluma may restore what you have lost. From your pictures, however, it appears that what would...
This will need fillers or fat to improve unforunately. I suggest seeking a facial sculpting expert for treatment. Best, Dr. Emer.
To be honest there is no reason why you have to worry about filler injections with breast feeding, they are local and do not get absorbed into your body. Best, Dr. Emer.
1.Filler under the eyes can result in swelling that never resolves. Also, there are several important anatomic structures in that area that can be injured when fillers are placed there. Therefore, many doctors refuse to put any filler in that area in anyone. If there is any filler placed, I...
I layer fillers all day of all various types and its common and safe when done by an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.
Blunt cannula may reduce the risk marginally but the reality is that there is no way to reduce the risk to completely zero. Though it is rare, it is possible. It's like driving a car...every time you get in and drive there is a risk of dying in a car accident. The only way to completely avoid it...
