Got a crater deformity from gyno surgery. I did three revision surgeries but my chest indentation won't heal. What should I do?

I did a gynecomastia surgery a year and a half ago. When I sit or bend my nipples dip inside my chest, or when I flex. I went to another doctor and he proposed fat injection and scar tissue release. I did that, it helped but the issue was still noticeable. He then did another surgery on me with local anesthesia and released the scar again. Helped a tad but the issue was still there so we did another scar release a month later. Why does my scar tissue keep sticking to my muscle and what to do?

This is a difficult problem. Particularly with incisions around the areola. The incisions heal unpredictably and can often lead to a "jacked up" appearance.  We avoid that incision entirely by placing a small 2 cm incision in the armpit. This incision heals more predictably and allows for liposuction and direct excision of the glandular component of gynecomastia as well. In your case, scar release, fat grafting, massage can help improve the contour. Best wishes, Dr. Morrissey
