I am looking for doctors to perform a BBL and possibly a tummy tuck. I have stretch marks but my skin is not loose currently. My fear is that once I get the liposuction my stomach will have a loose saggy appearance.
Answer: BBL & Possible Tummy Tuck The most common procedure that is performed with the brazilian butt lift is the tummy tuck but determining whether you're a candidate for that combination or whether liposuction alone, as part of the brazilian butt lift, would be your best option is impossible to guess without a consult.Generally speaking, all tummy tucks get rid of loose skin between the belly button and pubic hairline and also generally speaking, liposuction does not necessitate a tummy tuck. If you have good skin tone, it is likely you will adjust nicely to any lipo done during your brazilian butt lift. Also important to note, your abdomen is not the only area likely to be liposuctioned during a brazilian butt lift. Areas typically include the back (directly above the buttocks), the stomach, and the thighs.Be sure to see a board certified plastic surgeon with extensive fat grafting experience to discuss what will work best for you given your actual case specifics.Best wishes!

Answer: Depends on your skin BBL can leave you with loose skin on your abdomen. It depends on your skin and stretch marks do increase the risk of loose skin. I usually recommend the BBL first, followed by a tummy tuck later if necessary. Most often the skin recovers enough so an abdominoplasty is not required. Wait about six months to allow for maximal skin recovery.

Answer: Does BBL leave you with loose skin in the abdominal area? Thank you for the question. In order to answer your question an in-person examination is needed to evaluate the laxity of your skin. If excess laxity is present your surgeon may recommend a tummy tuck to remove the excess skin of your abdomen. I hope this helps.

Answer: BBL Thank you for your question. A physical exam or pictures would be helpful to answer this question. If there is significant amount of excess skin a tummy tuck would be helpful in removing any excess skin that remains. Best wishesTheodore T. Nyame MD

Answer: Sagging skin after a Brazilian My practice is entirely devoted to body contouring using various forms of liposuction and fat transfer.Abdominal skin can be compromised to some degree from liposuction. It's generally not enough to concern patients if the procedure is done well. This can include aggressive liposuction done well. The patients that are at highest risk for developing changes in their skin contour or texture our patients who have mild skin laxity to start with. These are generally women who have had children who have some skin laxity to start with..In those cases the skin care look a little bit more wrinkled or loose.Never to the point of hanging.patients with tight skin rarely see any change.Patients with very loose skin will have more skin laxity but usually I'm not bothered by this if the results for the liposuction or fat transfer our substantial. If you're planning on having an abdominoplasty then skin laxity is a non-issue since the abdominoplasty will pull your skin tight. The bottom line is that liposuction is done well usually does not compromise the skin very much on the abdomen on most patients.when patient selection is done appropriately the improvements in body contours and results easily outweigh any potential minor change in how the skin looks.Best,Mats Hagstrom, MD
