Hi i notice pitted and pink dots scars around the grafts where the grafts have been implanted, mostly on my cheeks. I know it can be grafts implanted too deep :(. I mention i put 3 time bethametasone cream after 3 weeks to try to remove redness... i stopped when i heard its not good for scars :(. What do you think ? Did i do something wrong ? Do you think the scars will improve ? Im really worry. Thank you

Answer: Pitted scars after beard transplant This can be due to incorrect placement of grafts as well as incisions. I would go back to your surgeon for more advice. There are ways to correct the scarring but it is likely to be permanent.

Answer: Pitting with hair transplants to the beard I warn all my patients that, in a small minority, pitting can occur with hair transplants to the beard area and that, when shaved, the stubble may not look like natural beard hairs. It may be necessary to keep the transplanted hairs long ie grow your beard to hide the pitting as it will be very difficult to get rid of the pitting.

Answer: Hair Transplant with SmartGraft Yes it may be a technical issue. It would have be helpful to see the grafts just after transplant to have a better Idea.

Answer: Pitting in beard area It sounds like you are concerned that the 3 times you put betamethasone on your beard area to remove the pink was somehow wrong. Although it was not adviseable, 3 times is not likely a disaster and you are still early in your healing process. Check with your doctor about your concerns and realize that there is still a lot of healing to do so this may not be permanent. Good Luck!
