Small bumps at hair roots after beard transplant (cobblestone?) (Photo)

Question

Today is 11th day after my beard transplant (2200 fue, good recovery). I used an electric laser to carefully shave the hair, no blood and no roots came out. However, I notice in my chin and mouth area, there are quite a few small bumps at the bottom of the hair (especially those grafts with 2 hairs). Are these normal? I read online about "cobblestone" where the grafts were not inserted too deep. Now I am really worried. Are these cobblestone? Are bumps permanent? How can I reduce/remove them?

It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.You are having issues after your surgery.The best thing to do is go back to see your doctor for an exam.Faster you see your doctor, faster you can receive possible treatment.

This is a possibility, I would recommend that you discuss this in person with the doctor that performed the procedure during your next follow up. Hopefully you have a follow up scheduled soon. They will know all of the details and also be better at figuring out what the issue may be during an in person assessment.

With bumpts at the base of recipient sites, the transplants could be a problem as you suggested so I would go back and see your doctor and ask the question you asked above. You should not have cobblestonning of these grafts
