yes, it is safe to have chin liposuction after a thread lift. A thread lift does not really produce a "lift" like it implies. A PDO thread causes a biostimulatory response to cause collagen formation and tightening in the dermis. Liposuction occurs in the subcutaneous layer and is a very safe procedure.
If the PDO thread lift was performed only on the face and not on below the jaw line (chin area) it is safe to undergo chin liposuction, However, if PDO threads were placed on the neck/chin area you should discuss this matter with the surgeon that placed the threads.
Dear NoemiJackson,it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
I suppose there are a lot of variables to take in the consideration like exactly where the threads are and where you were going to have liposuction. It’s up to each individual provider. I suggest having a few in person consultations.Consider getting a copy of your medical records for the thread left so that a new provider would have a good idea of where they were placed.Best,Mats Hagstrom MD
