Hi, I had a breast augmentation with lift in February of this year. I have what appears to me as a “snoopy” deformity. Is there anything that can be done to correct this and is there a special revision surgeon I should see?
Answer: Deformity I would recommend a revisionary surgery that releases the likely under-released muscle and/or scar band in the lower pole of the breast. This may also be some of the native inframammary fold that was not fully obliterated at the original surgery. Regardless you need to see a very well trained American Board of Plastic Surgery certified plastic surgeon. Ideally, this surgeon has also completed an Aesthetic Society endorsed aesthetic fellowship as well.

Answer: Revision surgery Dear Compassionate438259, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Revision mastopexy It appears your lift was performed adequately, leaving your nipples too low. It's very common for them to look like this the first week but if the implants settle normally the nipple rotates up into a central position on the implant. Revising the mastopexy is likely the best option to improve the shape. If you're happy with the size you could likely leave the implants alone. The left does look a little smaller. An exam would be helpful to rule out any capsular contracture. Going back to your primary surgeon is likely the least expensive option but if you're not happy with the outcome getting some second opinions might make sense.

Answer: Explant with Bellesoma Method Unfortunately, I cannot tell exactly which lift technique you had performed. It appears the lift technique was inadequate. This is why your breast implants are at one level and the breast tissue is at another level. I recommend you wait 6 months from the surgery date before undergoing any revision. At that time, I recommend explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained if not injured during your previous surgery. Later, fat transfers or small implants can be placed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Breasts You do need a lift to raise your own tissue up and perhaps the pockets could be loosened some to let the implants settle down a little more.
