Firstly, you are only 2 months post-partum, so you are not a candidate for any cosmetic surgery right now. You need to wait and let your body go through the normal changes after pregnancy. But, it appears that you have skin laxity and lipo will not help this..... in fact, it will probably make things worse. Wait about 6 months and then be evaluated by a board certified plastic surgeon to see if liposuction or a tummy tuck is best. I suspect a tummy tuck will be the right answer.
Dear Forceful844255,First and foremost, congratulations on your children! Upon reviewing your photos and taking into consideration the details you've provided, it appears that your primary concern is both excess skin and fat. Liposuction is primarily designed to remove fat, and given the presence of excess skin, opting solely for liposuction may not deliver the desired result. In fact, removing the fat without addressing the skin could leave you with even more loose skin.I would recommend a tummy tuck combined with liposuction of the flanks. A tummy tuck would address the excess skin and tighten the abdominal muscles, giving you a more contoured, firmer appearance. Adding liposuction to the flanks would enhance your waistline, providing an overall improved silhouette.I hope this answer helps. Take care.Sincerely,Dr. Katzen
Congratulations on your newborn! Based on your photos you probably should engage in dietary methods and muscle strengthening exercises. Give this at least 3 months and if you still have excess skin, weak muscles or excess fat, you might be a candidate for a closed lipo contouring procedure. Then you may also benefit from a "mommy makeover" limited tummy tuck. Consult with an expert.
Liposuction will remove fat but your skin will hang. It can be done and it is possibly since you are young that the skin will recoil but you may end up with hanging skin that will require a tummy tuck.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
From the photos, you would do well with just liposuction under local and bodytite and morpheus to tighten up the skin a lot. Recovery is quick and easy and you are back to work in 2 days and back to the gym in 1 week. We don't even do tummy tucks anymore since the lipo replaces them so well and is so much safer and the surgery is painless.
You will absolutely need a tummy tuck to have any reasonable result. I don't know why you don't want a tummy tuck, but if it's cost, then please don't get influenced by a surgeon to 'just get lipo now'. That could put you in a situation where a tummy tuck will be more difficult to perform with a higher risk of problems healing. If you don't want a tummy tuck because you think the scar will make your abdomen look unattractive, then I urge you to go to a surgeon who places the scar very low where it will be more inconspicuous. Although you would do well with liposuction on the hips and waist, it wouldn't look right without treating you abdomen, so that should wait too until you are ready to get your tummy tuck.
Hello! Liposuction (w/ skin tightening) is certainly a great option in efforts to avoid the tummy tuck scar. Although liposuction will not fix the diastasis (muscle separation from pregnancy), it can get you a much better hourglass shape and when combined with skin tightening would help improve skin elasticity by upwards 60% at best. The gold standard would be to combine liposuction with a tummy tuck but depending on expectations, you can certainly see an improvement with liposuction 360 and skin tightening alone.
An in-person exam is best, but based on your photos I see some loss of skin elasticity, excess skin, and a moderate amount of fat of the tummy, waist, and flanks.Liposuction will address the fat but the skin will be left loose or irregular because there is some loss of elasticity from the pregnancy and also skin excess. You would get a "gold standard" result from a tummy tuck, and much les of a a result from liposuction.
Considering your age and the fact that you would continue to loose weight, liposuction would be reasonable option. Hope this helps.
thanks for your question. Liposuction can not fix it. You need a tummy tuck because you hace extra skin and muscle diastase.
It’s hard to see you, or understand the problem from pictures. I suggest you follow up with your provider did the procedure. He or she is responsible for your outcome and can help you review the results or consider a revision if indicated. Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
Yes—combining lipo with a tummy tuck is common and often ideal for waist/hip shaping. We avoid aggressive lipo directly on the lifted abdominal flap to protect blood supply, but flanks/back/hips are excellent adjunct areas. One anesthesia, one recovery, and a more comprehensive contour. Your s...
You should do well with liposuction of your outer and inner thighs. This could be done under general anesthesia or awake in the office. Please meet with a board-certified plastic surgeon and discuss your options and concerns. Costs vary depending upon the location and how it is done.
