I had a rhinoplasty a 8-9days ago. Yellowspottings has already gone from my face. My nose was hooked from profile but it was ok from front(the nose was thin). Now my nose looks great from profile but it looks much wider, fatter from front its awful.I dont really see the nose's bone it looks puffy. My question is that wheter its possible my nose looks wider because the hooked part has been removed or its just swelling and it will gone with time. In case its just swelling please let me know about what time will it turn back to thin again.
Answer: Swelling after Rhinoplasty Haroudojo,Immediately after surgery there is a lot of swelling in the nose and face. 8-9 days is too soon to determine anything, however the greatest possibility is that you are still swollen and the wideness you are noticing is a result of the swelling. The overall healing time for rhinoplasty is 1 year for final results to set in. Please be patient.Hope this helps.Dr. Ali Sajjadian

Answer: Swelling can make the nose look wide one week after rhinoplasty It is very common to have a significant amount of swelling (especially of the dorsum and tip) one week after rhinoplasty. This can make the nose appear wide on frontal view. This is especially true of the nasal tip which can remain subtly swollen for a year or longer. Generally, this swelling is only noticeable to the patient and surgeon. Patience is important at this stage and frequent follow up with your surgeon will help provide the reassurance that everyone needs after rhinoplasty surgery. Most experienced rhinoplasty surgeons see their patients in follow up for at least one year after the procedure.

Answer: Swelling two weeks after rhinoplasty? Thanks for your question. Swelling is normal after rhinoplasty and can take months to subside completely. It can take 12 months before you will see the final shape of your nose. You are not alone in wanting to see a more immediate final result however I would advise that you remain patient with your post-operative recovery and stay in close contact with your PS if you have any further concerns. Good luck!

Answer: 8-9 days post op Rhinoplasty, At 8-9 days post rhinoplasty, swelling is to be expected. You can not evaluate your nose at this early stage. Recovery/swelling from a rhinoplasty will take weeks to months for it to be completely resolved. Give it time.
