I also feel like my radix is much bigger than before surgery. Had surgery on July 17, 2014. I asked this question a few weeks after surgery & was told to allow more time but now that I am almost at 2 months post op, I am getting more concerned. I have a bump/hard edge on the side of my nose that won't seem to go away.I know he did some rasping in that area & my doctor says it's probably swelling but it feels pretty hard & isn't going away. I don't go back to see him for another 5 weeks. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated. My radix is also a concern.

Answer: Bump after rhinoplasty I know 2 months seems like a long time, but it is a relatively soon after a rhinoplasty. The cause of the bump is more difficult to determine not knowing what you had done in surgery. In general, the swelling of the radix and the bump are both likely to improve over the next several months, so try to be patient. 6 months is the minimum for most surgeons before considering any revision surgery, in large part because many things correct on their own given enough time.

Answer: Bump after rhinoplasty With the degree your nose appears to be reduced your surgeon probably performed osteotomies to bring in the nasal bones. The bone may have rotated outward on the left side during its fracture or healing. You need to wait a minimum of 6 months to let healing continue. You can reevaluate at that time. I am not a fan of fillers but this may be one situation where a temporary filler may give some improvement until your re-evaluaton.
