Hello, I am planning on getting vaser liposuction only on my upper arms (triceps area) I was also wondering if it is okay to go home by myself after surgery, and whether it is safe to walk around and do light housework-like activities e.g. laundry, microwaving meals etc. the of and the day after surgery? I don't expect a lot of fat to be removed as I am fairly small and lean (158cm and 48kg), just want to reshape the area to ease off the roundness.
Answer: VASER HD Lipo Arm Contouring / Defined Arm Liposculpture / Body Contouring or Arms and Shoulders I suggest you see an expert in body shaping, arms swell a lot and need internal heating as well for the best results (j plasma, renuvion, inmode body tite). You will need some downtime. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Vaser arm liposuction upper arms recovery time help from others vaser liposuction Thank you for your question regarding VASER liposuction of the arms. Every plastic surgeon has their own routine. Typically, I perform arm VASER liposuction under general anesthesia and recovery takes about 2 to 3 weeks. As a general rule, you are not allowed to drive yourself home after a procedure involving an IV or general anesthetic. A responsible adult should take you home. Uber and taxis are not allowed. Regarding recovery, I would suggest you take it easy for 4 to 5 days. You are allowed to walk around, but any extra duty like laundry and activity, I think should be postponed. Please try to find a friend or relative to help you. Thank you for your questions regarding arm VASER liposuction. If you have any other questions regarding VASER arm liposuction or liposuction in general, please do not hesitate to call my office. When seeking a VASER arm liposuction procedure, please seek an experienced, board-certified plastic surgeon who has done thousands of VASER liposuction procedures. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: Safety precautions important after undergoing general anesthesia for liposuction Hello, Thank you for your question. I agree with my colleagues that it is unsafe to drive immediately after under going general anesthesia. Additionally I recommend you have someone with you for 24 hours following the surgery to monitor you in the rare case you should have a complication from the anesthesia or surgery. Generally patients are too sore for housework after liposuction and I recommend limited activity the first 72 hours. Best regards, Dr. Moein

Answer: Vaser liposuction Thank you for your question. In my clinic we perform Vaser Liposuction under local anaesthetic which is well tolerated by our patients. Each surgeon has their own policy so I recommend you speak with your surgeon regarding your questions. I will not allow my patients to drive themselves home following surgery however if it is a smaller surgery, such as triceps they may take a taxi. Most patients would be able to care for basic activities for the first 24 hours but it is more advisable to have another adult stay with you to help out. Good luck!
