Is it normal to have very mild cheek festoons at age 30? Did my weight loss have an impact? (photo)

I just turned 30 and I noticed I have dents in my upper cheeks. Is this normal at this age? I have always avoided the sun. Recently I lost between 5 and 10kg (I am 5'8") so I am not sure that this had an impact or not. Why would this be the case? I have a relatively weak mid-face, genetically speaking.

Cheek festoons can be one of the earliest signs of aging for some people, developing long before we are ready for them. Weight loss can certainly exacerbate their appearance as well. The good news is there are many surgical and non-surgical options for treating festoons and creating a more youthful profile in the midface, from dermal fillers to cheek implants. Dear Tokyogirl,It appears from your photos that you have early festoons developing on your cheeks. These are sun damaged areas on the cheek that can wax and wane and tend to have a genesis in past sun exposure. First its important to wear sunblock and sunglasses daily. If you want help, I've had success using lasers to help this condition.I'll include a link below.

Unfortunately there is no certain age for festoons to appear however weight loss can significantly accelerate them.
Cheek filler can help improving them but careful when choosing your injector. If they inject in the festoon you will get more swelling under your eyes.
