How many mls do you inject in each session? Should be concentrated in a specific part of the head? Is it 5ml enough?

Great question! PRP is great for thinning hair. PRP uses growth factors in your own blood to stimulate the scalp to restore hair growth, increase thickness of hair, and improve the strength of hair. Treatment works best in areas of hair that are thinning, compared to areas of complete hair loss. The amount of PRP obtained varies upon how much blood is drawn and which centrifuge system is used. We inject ~6cc of PRP into the scalp at each session. We also recommend getting three treatments 4-6 weeks apart, and then maintenance therapy would be once or twice a year. It would be in your best interest to go to an expert injector in your area, so they can get a full history and help you get on the right path to hair loss recovery. The  number of CC's in the injection is only part of the equation. To determine if 5 ml is adequate, The concentration of the PRP , amount of red and white blood cells, activation or non activation, Acell inclusion as well as injection technique are all important. One can disperse the injections if the subdermal depo injection technique is utilized because the material spreads in a subdermal plane. If intradermal injections are utilized, you must inject in the areas most needed. Find a PRP expert. Ask to see photos.

OK, the concentration needs to be considered as well as the PREDICTED area of hair loss. Are you using the Ludwig scale or the Norwood scale of hair loss? Just to be clear, no one knows, through verified research, exactly what PRP technique is best.  So hair restoration continue to share results as we go along each year.  Five cc should be enough to inject your entire scalp both subdermally and intradermally if properly performed.  I generally use 5-10 cc depending on head size to do the entire scalp and allow the PRP to have a widespread thickening effect rather than target focused areas.
